She was a committed member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, East Preston United Baptist Church and New Beginnings Ministries, respectively, over the years. Cassie served her communities in many capacities. Cassie reached her many clients through home-based parties, store front and, lastly but not least, creating a space in her dining room known as "Cassie's Touch". With that mindset, Cassie operated a community canteen, a retail business which specialized in fashionable church hats, clothing, hair products and accessories. Cassie also earned her accounting/bookkeeping diploma later in life, which paired well with her entrepreneurial mindset. Cassie graduated from secondary school, then secured a job with the City of Halifax as a key punch operator. ![]() ![]() Cassie graduated from Sydney Steven High School with honours, while skipping two grades in her early school years. Cassie was born in Upper Hammonds Plains, a daughter of the late Ellsworth and Evelyn (Johnson) Gough.
